While I applaud the security implications of this decision by the chinese, I would point out that they are still using RFID chips in their most valuable tickets. These RFID chips have proven easy to manipulate, clone and then mass produce defrauded versions of the same ticket. Not only that, but an attacker would have a field day in the olympic stadium on opening day- RFID chips everywhere; All one would have to do is carry a laptop and a device to interrupt the RFID field, They then have access to 300,000 addresses, complete passport info, and email addresses. A true field day for a hacker. Bravo China, Bravo.
